（一）顯影歷史遺址與敘事記憶（Materializing Historical Sites and Narrative Memories）

　　維護文化遺址與古蹟之工作，向來大多是著眼在考古與修建技術上，但是文化遺址背後的歷史記憶，缺少更多的闡釋與敘述，因此容易被人冷落或遺忘。事實上古代流傳下來的遺址，都有許多故事與記憶值得闡述，也更能夠打動世人的關注而更加重視。是故，透過完整的敘事記憶，對於歷史文化遺址的保護亦可發揮絕佳的效用。

　　佛教的貢獻不僅止於宗教信仰的層面，過去以來隨著佛教的流傳與散播，連同語言、藝術和文化也隨之傳入，於是從南亞的印度、中亞的西域，傳到中土的中國，甚至遠播至韓國、日本和台灣，於是建構成一個具有共同宗教色彩的文化圈。雖然歷經漫長的歷史長河之後，出現了本土化、民間化或是其他不同的質變，但是這些出土或傳世的文化遺址，就成為文化交流史的直接見證。

（三）重視佛教文化遺址的保護（Focusing on the Preservation of Buddhist Cultural Heritage）

　　西元前五世紀佛教誕生於印度，因而保存許多千年以上的重要遺址，然而歷代以來印度動亂更迭，再加目前當地宗教信仰的分歧與對立，於是許多已經被登錄的重要文化遺產，至今仍然會發生人為的破壞情形。因此重視佛教起源與發展的文化遺址之保護，不獨只是佛教徒的使命，也是人類全體應該重視的保護文化資產的課題。尤其台灣在無法進入聯合國的境遇上，更應該主動積極地參與國際社會，為國際社會盡一份最大的心力。

（四）探索人類文化遺產之展望（Exploring the Prospects of Human Cultural Heritage）

　　重視人類文化資產保存與推廣的工作，扎實的學術研究與更高的保存技術研發，固然是相當重要的工作，但是因應當多元社會的時代來臨，如何透過新媒體和新科技，來喚起更多人對於文化遺址的重視，也是值得一提的關注課題。包括當前最受歡迎的數位媒體科技，如何融入在文化遺址的研究、敘事或呈現上，也是本案所揭釐的重要展望之一。

（五）開啟學術研究交流之橋樑（Bridging the Exchange of Academic Research）

透過本次國際學術研討會的第一次接觸，將開啟國內與巴黎東方文化遺址保護聯盟遺之長期穩定的學術交流合作橋樑，同時亦可構築出雙邊學術研究更堅實緊密之連結；無庸置疑，這雙邊初次交流的一小步，可謂是敲開國內相關學術研究機構過往長期努力未果所邁開的一大步。

（六）建立國內與東方文化遺址保護聯盟的正式學術交流管道（Establishing Officially Academic Ties with the Oriental Cultural Heritage Sites Protection Alliance）

值此國際盛會，藉由本研討會閉幕式，主辦單位東方文化遺址保護聯盟將與承辦單位國立臺北藝術大學雙邊正式簽訂學術交流合同，以建立更長遠及長久的國際交流網路。

緣起

「東方文化遺址保護聯盟」（法文APPCA、英文OCuHeSPA），為知名國際非政府組織（NGO），2008年成立於法國巴黎，同時配合聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO），以非營利組織的形式，致力於世界人類文化遺產的調查、研究與保護工作。因應台灣建國百年紀念活動，展現台灣高度參與國際社會，並喚起國人重視人類文化遺產，遂在該聯盟的協助之下，訂於台灣舉行「東方文化遺址保護聯盟台北國際學術研討會」，主題設定為「從南亞到台灣-文化資產‧歷史記憶‧佛教藝術」。
